Animal Backpack Leash

does anyone else use a leash for their kid in stores so they don’t get away from you while you’re looking arou?

I’m not talking an animal leash here lol, it’s a monkey backpack with a long leash that matches. it has come in very handy in the past when my kid decides to disappear. And no one can steal a child if they are attached to you right?!
That is exactly what happened with me jen, I hated them and thought it was like treating them like an animal but then I kept thinking how many kids disappear each year cuz they aren’t watched properly or whatever the reason, and poof bought one and actually she thinks the monkey is fun
I only used mine if my lil one started to run around or we are in a major public place like an amusement park or zoo or rennaisance faire or something, boy does that thing come in handy for that kind of thing, cuz if a kid gets lost in a giant place like an amusement park panic and fear set in on both sides.

I have one for my daughter that’s a puppy instead of a monkey. I always swore I’d never be one of those moms who leashes their kids, but my daughter and I went to the zoo with friends one day and another kid had one. She started crying because she wanted a puppy too and I started thinking about it. I realized how fussy she always was in her stroller and being carried when she wanted to walk and so I thought for 10 bucks we might as well try it out. She loves the freedom to run around it gives her and I love that she’s always close when we’re at the zoo or aquarium. Plus, it’d take more than a second for someone to either take the puppy off of her (at which point she’d scream because she loves that thing) or detach the tail that’s the leash part, so I feel a lot safer when using it.
